The ICP Collections
The collections and media lab of The International Center for Photography are housed in a 15,000SF climate-controlled space at Mana Contemporary. The program includes a gallery, photo archive, research area, curatorial & staff offices, and an incubator space dedicated to the development of new experiments in the visual realm. Borrowing from artist James Turrell's early works with light projection, every space attempts to capture the materiality of light in ways that alter our sense of perception. The disappearing light-corners, reflective floors and use of transparent glass, enhance a sense of endlessness while preserving the mystery of the whole.
